Director of IT Services, The Girls' Day School Trust
Dan Hall is Director of Information Technology Services at the Girls’ Day School Trust where he leads the central IT team delivering IT services to 3,500 staff and 16,000 students. His focus is to ensure that IT is central to the educational outcomes of the students.
Prior to this, he was Director of Global IT Strategy for the British Council where he worked closely with the CIO to set the organisation’s IT strategy and direction.
Dan has been a trustee since 2013 and was elected chair in Oct 2017.
Whilst most of his career has been in the voluntary sector Dan has also worked in the commercial sector where he was Head of Service Delivery for iHotdesk - an IT outsourcing company - delivering outsourced IT services across the globe.
Dan has a strong passion for placing IT at the heart of the business and believes this is vital to enable organisations to deliver services to the highest standard. IT teams also need to understand how they enable organisations to achieve their strategic goals.
Dan is the father of two young children, a school governor, and bakes most of his own bread.
